FRIENDS OF THE GRAMMAR SCHOOLS

I, the undersigned, support England's remaining 164 grammar schools and Northern Ireland's 69 grammar schools.

Objective evidence shows that grammar schools provide exceptionally high standards of education for their pupils and are a shining example to the state school system. For this reason, we would welcome the introduction of more grammar schools in areas of the country where they don't currently exist.The 11-plus exam for selection for a place in a grammar school should remain voluntary.
